The value for money was excellent, with reasonable prices and great attention to detail. The location was perfect, nestled in a peaceful area within walking distance of a little beach and conveniently close to the pier for Railay beach. The hotel itself was surrounded by a tropical-style garden with a jacuzzi, which was a delightful treat for my aching feet. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, and the basic amenities provided in the room were just what I needed. I particularly loved the room with its nice balcony and the added security of a safe for my belongings. The rooms had a pleasant design and were very comfortable. The breakfast, included in the stay, offered a variety of options to start the day off right.
All was well at this hotel.

Would be happy to recommend it to everyone. The location was so close to everything we wanted to do. We greatly enjoyed the fact that we chose Thip Residence Boutique

Thip Residence was very clean, had friendly helpful staff who spoke good English and had free wi-fi. The pool was great and there was a garden for the children to play in. We were very close to the pier to take boat trips to the outlaying islands and the bus stopped outside the hotel to take us into Ao Nang - 20 baht and 15 mins. Will definitely stay again.

The owner wants very much for clients to be happy; the price was main attraction for choosing this location, quiet but close to Ao Nang Beach (100 baht tuk tuk ride).
Room wasn't very clean (flies in the room at check in and for the duration of my stay, room was dusty, sanitized glasses that were used were not replaced but merely rinsed in bathroom sink); towels were not clean (straight from the laundry they seem ok but when made damp the dirt surfaced - stained and basically not washed well as I would discover when I had hotel do my laundry); had laundry done at the hotel and needed to rewash everything at next location..typical street stains that easily come off in proper wash were still present following wash at hotel); at check out when presented with bill for laundry, I told the owner that laundry was poorly done, she proceeded to charge me and asked why hadn't I mentioned this sooner...it was because Staff took two and half days to return laundry (they also brought me another guests laundry while looking for my laundry and forgot a wake up call on one of two occasions for wake up calls); the final bill was different that the price quoted by Booked.net, by 50 baht per night; hot water wasn't hot (lukewarm at best). I would never stay here again nor recommend this place to another traveler. I will say that the food in restaurant was quite good and supervised/prepared by owner (ate there one night after a dive).

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, with easy access to the pier for island hopping and close to grocery stores and markets. The hotel facilities, including the clean swimming pool set in a beautiful garden, were excellent. The room was tidy and freshened up daily, with a large fridge freezer and a good shower with complimentary body wash and shampoo. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant, which had delicious food at a reasonable price. we were incredibly satisfied with the cleanliness, facilities, location, and staff of this hotel.
Cannot find any fault.

nice pool area, clean room
we booked a deluxe room which supposed to be 37 qm, we got a very small room even smaller than the standard room of 27 qm. After we complained they told us that its becuae we just booked 1 night before, so that´s the only room which is left. I don´t care to get a smaller room but then we should not pay the price for the bigger one. After a long discussion we got a small discount, well! That was not a good start!

the location was perfect, just a short distance away from the main Ao Nang beach, making it easy for us to catch a taxi or explore the area. the room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a stunning view of the sea. the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. the breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. We also enjoyed lounging by the clean and well-maintained pool. we had a fantastic experience at this hotel!
The only downside we experienced was the limited view from our room. this was easily overshadowed by all the other wonderful aspects of the hotel.

The resort had a lovely, cosy atmosphere and was kept very clean. . the breakfast menu had a good selection of choices and we didn't get bored with it during our week-long stay. the location was away from the touristy areas, offering tranquility and a chance to escape commercialism. There were local eateries nearby that offered delicious Thai food at affordable prices. the resort was conveniently located near the jetty, making it easy to take a long-tail boat to nearby beaches. the night market, just a short walk away, provided a great opportunity to experience the local atmosphere.
The room didn't have coffee and tea making facilities, which was a inconvenience. . There was a power outage one day, affecting both the electricity and water pressure.

The hotel is conveniently located near the pier, making it easy to catch a water taxi or take the local bus into town. the wooden platform outside the hotel provides a scenic spot to relax and enjoy the view. the Ao Nam Mao pier is nearby, allowing guests to easily access Rai- lay bay by tail boat for a reasonable price.
The hotel does not offer a proper beach, requiring guests to travel a short distance to reach one.

I loved the location opposite the pier, making it convenient to explore other parts outside of the center of tourism. The tropical style garden with a jacuzzi was a delightful touch, perfect for relaxing and soothing my aching feet. The rooms had a pleasant design with modern decor, balconies, and even a safe for belongings. Additionally, having breakfast included was a nice offering.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were satisfactory.

During our Christmas stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean rooms at a very affordable price. The hotel had a lovely garden and pool area that was well maintained. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities. We also enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff who made our stay even more enjoyable.
One aspect we didn't particularly like was the lack of modern decor in the rooms. the pool area was quite dark, which made it less inviting for evening swims.
